We don’t provide breakfast. But, breakfast is available, next to or close to The Bondgate Boutique.

The Plough Hotel (next door) is our number one recommendation. Beautiful food right on your doorstep. There is also Barter Books, Alnwick Playhouse and Costa Coffee all just a short stroll.

Upon arrival at The Bondgate Boutique, we kindly ask guests to park their vehicles either in the free parking areas throughout Alnwick or in the large gravelled car park courtesy of the Plough Hotel next door. Please note that parking is subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis. We kindly request that guests vacate the car park by the end of their stay to allow other guests to use the facilities. Thank you for your cooperation.

Guests can check in from 3:00 p.m. onwards and will receive our front door entry code upon booking. A self-check-in online link will be sent to guests again via email 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests have any queries or concerns, they can contact us via email or telephone. Our aim is to ensure a smooth, stress-free, and secure check-in process with minimal contact with guests. Nevertheless, we remain available should guests require any assistance.

Please ensure that rooms are vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. If you need a little extra time, you may purchase a one-hour late check-out option for £20.00 during the booking process.

If you are having lunch in the Treehouse Restaurant please use the main car park, for evening dinners parking will be available in the priority car park.

Our standard practice includes daily room service unless otherwise requested by the customer to refrain from entering their bedroom. Please let us know in advance or during the booking process online.

We don’t offer family rooms at either property, but consider booking at Tate House and reserving two adjacent bedrooms (Rooms 1 and 2 on the same floor). Enjoy added comfort by utilising the communal living room too.

Our property has Bedrooms 1 through 4, conveniently situated on the Ground Floor. The entrance is step-free, with a single ramp providing direct access from the main street footpath to the front door. Also, three 1st floor bedrooms with access via a staircase. We have NO elevator.

It’s important to note that while these 4 rooms offer easy access without stairs, they are not specifically designed to accommodate guests with mobility impairments.

Please be aware that there is no permanent on-site staff at the Bondgate Boutique. However, the owners reside opposite the property and are readily available. We assure you that our establishment is safe and secure. If you have any questions or concerns about your stay at the Bondgate Boutique, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be more than happy to discuss your requirements further.

We regret to inform you that our guest house strictly enforces a policy of no children under the age of 18, including toddlers. Our guest rooms are in close proximity to each other and we cater exclusively to couples and business travellers seeking a discreet and peaceful atmosphere. We appreciate your understanding and compliance with this policy to ensure a pleasant stay for all of our guests.

We kindly suggest that guests with pets seek accommodations elsewhere as we regret to inform you that we do not offer suitable lodging for pets. However, we would be delighted to recommend The Cookie Jar, which may be able to accommodate you and your furry friend. Thank you for your understanding.

Check-In: Rooms are ready from 15:00. For a seamless check-in, receive the entry code upon online booking. For assistance, call or email us. Personal check-ins can be arranged by phone.

Departure: Kindly vacate rooms by 10:00 on the departure day.

Booking Terms: Secure online or phone bookings with a valid credit/debit card. Pay the first night’s stay and any remaining balance on arrival. Cancellations can be made without charge up to 48 hours before check-in.

Cancellations: Flexible Rates allow cancellations up to 48 hours before check-in with a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 2 days incur a 100% charge.

Settlement of Account: Payment by card or cash.

Security & Surveillance: CCTV is in operation in the hallway for the safety and security of our guests.

Wedding or Partygoers: We aren’t suitable for weddings or parties. Please be considerate of noise and refrain from bringing non-paying guests. Full charges apply for property damage.

No Smoking: Exclusively non-smoking. Violations incur a £100 surcharge. Fire Alarm Activation results in an additional £100 charge.

No Pets: Strict no-pets policy.

No Children: No children under 18 for a quiet atmosphere.

Takeaway Foods: Avoid bringing fast food to maintain room freshness.

Spillages: Report spills immediately. Guests are responsible for the full cost of damaged items.

Left Property: Items left are stored for one week. Handling charges may apply for return requests.

Damages & Liabilities: Guests are personally responsible for any damages caused by deliberate, negligent, accidental, or reckless acts. If damage is identified during your stay or after departure, charges may be applied to your credit/debit card or invoiced to your registered address.

Liability for all charges incurred during your stay remains with the guest. In the case of a group booking, the lead guest providing credit/debit card details is responsible for any outstanding charges by the group.

Our guest house strictly prohibits weddings and parties: We expect guests to treat the Bondgate Boutique with the utmost respect, just as they would their own homes. Please be considerate of other guests on the premises and keep noise levels to an absolute minimum when returning to your room late at night. We specialise in providing a discreet and peaceful environment, and therefore, do not allow guests to bring non-paying visitors onto the premises under any circumstances. Any damage caused to fixtures or fittings will be charged in full and added to your bill for immediate payment upon departure.

Damage to Bondgate Property: Guests will be held personally responsible and liable for any damage caused by deliberate, negligent, accidental, or reckless acts to the hotel’s property or structure. If damage is discovered during your stay, we will inform you immediately. If damage is discovered after you have departed, we reserve the right to charge your credit/debit card or send an invoice for payment to your registered address. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally before contracting specialists to make repairs, thus minimizing any costs you may incur.

Liability: Guests are personally liable for any charges incurred during their stay, and their liability for such charges is not waived under any circumstances. In the case of a group booking, the lead or registered guest (the lead guest) who provides credit/debit card details is personally responsible for any person, group, company, or association that fails to pay all or part of such charges.

For the safety and security of our guests and property, we have installed CCTV cameras throughout the public areas of The Bondgate Boutique. These cameras are in operation 24/7 to monitor and record any unusual activity and to deter any potential security threats. We take the privacy of our guests seriously and the CCTV footage is only accessed by authorised personnel in the event of an incident. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
