The Plough Hotel (next door) is our number one recommendation. Beautiful food right on your doorstep. There is also Barter Books, Alnwick Playhouse and Costa Coffee all just a short stroll.

Arrival & Parking:
Bedrooms will be available for use from 15:00 onwards. Parking is free throughout Alnwick, however, parking is available courtesy of the Plough Hotel next door, a (large gravelled car park).

Check-in procedures (for the foreseeable future):

We will provide our front door ‘Entry Code‘ information at the time of booking. Also, 24hr before your check-in date, we will send you a request via email to follow a link to a ‘self-check-in online service too. If you have any questions please email or telephone us. *We want our guest(s) to have a seamless, hassle-free, and safe check-in.

We are limiting contact with our guests. But, we are always at hand when necessary.

Departure:

Rooms should be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of your departure. You can always purchase a 1hr late check-out for £20.00 during the booking process.

Our bedrooms are NOT suitable for wheelchairs access.

We have Bedrooms 1, 2, 3 and 4 all on the ground floor. There are no steps leading into Bondgate. One single ramp slopes straight to the front door from the main street footpath with a slightly raised lip of the carpet runner at the entrance.

We are one of only two accommodation providers to offer 4 or more bedrooms on the ground floor.

We have Bedrooms 1, 2, 3 and 4 all on the Ground Floor of the Bondgate. There are no steps leading into Bondgate. One single ramp slopes straight to the front door from the main street footpath with a slightly raised lip of the carpet runner at the entrance.

Guests have access to a specialist *drinks fridge, chilled to between 4 & 6 degrees.

*A communal fridge on the Ground Floor to the back of the property. You are more than welcome to place your own drinks within.

There is no member of staff permanently on-site. However, the owners live opposite. The Bondgate Boutique is very safe and secure.  If you have any reservations or questions about the Bondgate Boutique we will be more than happy to discuss your requirements further.

Our guest house isn’t really suitable for weddings or party-goers. We ask that you treat the Bondgate Boutique as you would your own home, respect that of the other guests staying at the same time, should you return to your room late into the evening from your wedding or party event, please be quiet. The Bondgate Boutique specializes in providing a discreet and quiet establishment. For this reason, we don’t allow guests to bring back to the Bondgate any ‘none paying’ customers. Damage to any fixtures or fittings will be charged in full and added to your bill for full payment on departure.

Damage to The Bondgate property:
We reserve the right to charge individual guests or lead guests for the cost of rectifying damage that has been caused by the deliberate, negligent, accidental or reckless acts of guests to the hotel’s property or structure. If such damage is discovered during the stay it will be drawn to the guest’s attention but if discovered after guests have departed then we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/debit card or send an invoice for the costs for payment to the registered address. We will, however, make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that guests would incur to a minimum.

Liability:
The liability for guests for their account is not waived and guests agree to be held personally liable for any charges incurred during their stay. In the event of a booking for more than one room (a group booking) the lead or registered guest (the lead guest) providing credit/debit card details is personally liable for any person, group, company or association that fails to pay all or part of such charges.

No Children:
We have a NO CHILDREN under 18 policy in place (includes toddlers). The rooms at The Bondgate are in close proximity to one another. We cater exclusively to couples and business travellers who have chosen us for our discreet and quiet atmosphere.

Online or over the telephone bookings must be secured by using an acceptable valid credit/debit card. Pay the *1st night’s stay and any remaining balance on arrival. *Reservations can be cancelled without charge up to 48hrs before the date of check-in.

Cancellations:
Our Flexible Rates – Bookings can be cancelled up to 48 hrs before check-in free of charge, any deposits paid will be refunded. Bookings cancelled less than 2 days before check-in will incur the full charge of 100% of the booking total.

Settlement of Account:
Settlement of your account is by card or cash.

Wedding or Partygoers:
Our guest house isn’t suitable for weddings or parties goers. We ask that you treat the Bondgate Boutique as you would your own home, respect that of the other guests staying at the same time, should you return to your room late into the evening from your wedding or party event ‘please be quiet. The Bondgate Boutique specialises in providing a discreet and quiet establishment. For this reason, we don’t allow guests to bring back to the Bondgate any ‘none paying’ customers. Damage to any fixtures or fittings will be charged in full and added to your bill for full payment on departure.

No Smoking:
For the comfort and safety of all guests in the Bondgate Boutique, we are exclusively non-smoking throughout. Abuse of this condition will incur a £100 surcharge fee to cover the cost of additional cleaning. In the event of Fire Alarm Activation, an additional charge of £100 will be incurred to cover the costs of the Fire Brigade call.

No Pets:
We have a strict NO pets policy.

Takeaway Foods:

Takeaways (cooked fast foods) – We ask for you ‘NOT’ to bring fast foods back to the Bondgate Boutique. The smell gets into the very fabric of your bedroom –  including the chairs, curtains throws etc.

Spillages:
Spillages are inevitable, however, please inform us immediately if you should spill anything onto our carpets etc. This will allow us to rectify any further possible damages. You will be responsible for the full cost of any replacement item damaged beyond new conditions.

Left Property:
Any items mistakingly left at our property will be stored for 1 week (7 days) only. However, if we get a request for return items we will make a small charge for handling items (not including postage and packaging).

Mattress Damage (replacement costs):
We reserve the right to charge (individual guests or lead guests) for the 100% replacement of any mattress that has been compromised by urine/red wine etc. Replacement costs for – King Size mattress: £450.  Super King-Size mattress: £690.

CCTV is in operation (throughout the hallway) at The Bondgate Boutique.

The Bondgate Boutique has CCTV in operation throughout public areas of the building. This is to ensure both our guest’s safety and the building.
